Level 2 - £24,270 - £25,000pa
Level 3 - £25,200 - £30,000pa (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We are looking for a full time, Level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Portswood Day Nursery and Preschool. Our fantastic day nursery boasts beautiful rooms filled with high-quality, natural resources with every room finished to an exceptional standard to provide the best learning and play environment for the under-fives.
From sensory development in babies to learning new ICT skills in preschool, children have a great time as they get that all important head start on school education. Each room is equipped with high quality, wooden resources for the children to access, all of which are supplied by Community Playthings.

*What you’ll be doing*
* Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
* Observing, tracking and reflecting on learning
* Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
* Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
* Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis
*What we’re looking for*
* Full and Relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification
* Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
* Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
* Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
* Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
