Overview of project/role
To assist the Warehouse Logistics Manager (WLM) in delivering effective warehouse and logistic support for all trading activities at London Transport Museum. This includes assisting with the organisation and control of stock at LTM's Acton Depot for delivery to LTM's Covent Garden Shop, Acton Shop, online fulfilment centre in York, and additional off-site trading events, ensuring Health & Safety standards are met.
Key Accountabilities
* Support the WLM in the effective day-to-day management and control of all stock at LTM's Acton depot and the implementation of new processes to improve stock efficiencies.
* Assist with the effective handling of goods in, retail storage, and delivery of stock between branches as required by the business.
* Ensure stock is received accurately and in good condition from external suppliers, reporting any issues to the retail Merchandising team.
* Ensure deliveries are made to internal and external customers according to schedules, ensuring all stock is packaged and labelled correctly.
* Carry out accurate inventories and stock checks as requested by the Trading Team, assisting with the completion of the year-end stock-take programme.
* Complete paperwork and EPOS system updates daily to ensure accurate stock control.
* Support the operation of off-site events when required by the Special Projects & Off-Site Sales Manager.
* Assist in the logistics, operations, and dispatch of special projects such as Decommissioned Originals. Help with the setup of regular photographic shoots for the web shop at the Acton depot.
* Adhere to all necessary Health & Safety requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge
* Knowledge of stock control and management; experience in a warehouse environment (essential).
* Organized, methodical, with good attention to detail.
* Team player with the ability to establish good working relationships and support others.
* Computer literate with competency in Microsoft Excel.
Skills
* Health & Safety awareness and safe working (essential).
* Clean Driving Licence (essential).
* Valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licence (essential).
* Ability to drive a 3.5-tonne vehicle (essential).
Experience
* Experience working in a retail warehouse capacity.
* Forklift driving experience.
* Driving vehicles in a busy traffic environment.
