Role Purpose: Join our dynamic IT team at RMG as a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer! You'll ensure the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues, implementing infrastructure changes and upgrades, and maintaining the overall health of our systems. You'll act as a subject matter expert, working closely with other technical teams to resolve complex technical issues related to servers, networks, storage systems, virtualisation, and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
* Analyse logs, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with other technical teams.
* Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues, implement infrastructure changes and upgrades.
* Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure.
* Ensure compliance with security requirements and relevant regulations.
* Create and update technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams and standard operating procedures.
* Follow established change management processes to review, approve, and implement infrastructure changes.
* Upskill and educate the IT Service Desk to improve their knowledge and skills.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, working with technologies such as Citrix, Microsoft Azure, and Exchange Online.
* Deep technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.
* Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a similar company with knowledge of RMG's current and future technologies.
* Ability to use initiative to diagnose and resolve issues.
