Our Apprenticeships: This Service Engineer apprenticeship (Level 3) with Baxi gives you the opportunity to learn from experienced heating engineers in the field alongside studying for your Gas Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard at college You will study at James Watt college in Birmingham for 20 weeks over the two year programme. James Watt College are a centre of excellence for technical training and education, with a state-of-the-art gas engineering workshop. Apprenticeships in Action In your first year, as a Baxi Apprentices you’ll be given the opportunity to attend our specially designed Baxi Apprentice residential course. As well as being a lot of fun, it also helps develop a number of skills from leadership to communication to team working and will help you apply this to our core company values - One Team, Customer Focus and Sustainable Future. What we offer: The working week is 37 hours; you will receive 25 days holiday per annum not including UK bank holidays. Competitive Salary & holiday allowance Expenses covered during study blocks Work Vehicle Fully trained Mentor Accommodation included during study blocks Devon Excursion Health Support Application Requirements: A positive attitude Effective communication and interpersonal skills The ability to listen and follow instructions from your peers Good practical skills A flexible and adaptable approach to work Must have a minimum GCSE Grade C /4 or above, or level 2 Functional skills equivalent in both Maths and English with Science desirable The apprenticeship requires you to travel throughout its duration – so ability to travel and stay away from home for 2 week blocks is essential.
