An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading medical school at the University of Cambridge within the Clinical School HR Team. You will be providing professional administrative support to enable the team to deliver the best service to our internal customers and external contacts and candidates. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn about how an HR team functions and build your administrative skills in a varied role. You will undertake a variety of administrative tasks across HR and recruitment including tracking and logging information, organising events, meetings, supporting with payroll administration, drafting correspondence and processing forms. The HR team conduct a wide variety of programmes across the Clinical School including the Wellbeing Programme, Respect at Work Programme, Career Development Programme and Equality and Diversity Programme and a variety of other interesting projects and you will provide administrative support to enable these programmes to be successful including updating web pages and social media channels whilst enhancing the service that the team provides. You will build your communications skills in a variety of ways including email, telephone and face to face interaction with individuals. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and successful team whilst working towards your Level 3 in Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard and building your administration and communication skills. You will have strong organisation and communication skills and be able to pay attention to detail whilst keeping on top of several tasks at once. You will have some experience of basic computer programmes such as Microsoft word, excel and outlook. You'll also be expected to build strong working relationships whilst having the motivation to learn new skills. You must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a minimum of a grade C or level 4 in Maths and English. You will be supported by having weekly meetings with your line manager and regular assessments and reviews by your college Assessor to ensure you are on track to successfully achieve your qualification.
