If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Emotional Health Academy as a Mental Health Worker, reporting to the Emotional Health Academy Team Manager. About the Role As a Mental Health Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team working collaboratively to provide high-quality mental health support to students in West Berkshire. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering direct mental health interventions to students, ensuring their individual needs are met. Working in partnership with schools, parents, and other professionals to promote emotional well-being and resilience. Conducting assessments to identify the mental health needs of students and developing appropriate support plans. Providing advice, guidance, and training to school staff to enhance their understanding of mental health issues. Collaborating with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support for students. About You The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: Experience in providing direct mental health support to young people, ideally within an educational setting. Sound knowledge of common mental health disorders and evidence-based interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and professionals. Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to identify needs and develop appropriate support plans. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently. A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
