Learning Support Assistants Required just outside Brighton - Please read on This SEN school, supporting young people with SEMH is a nurturing and inclusive educational community dedicated to supporting young people who are not currently in mainstream education. We are supporting them to look for passionate and skilled Learning Support Assistants to join their team. Role Overview: We are seeking a candidate with experience or a keen interest in working with children facing severe Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues and behavioural difficulties. This experience can come from either mainstream education or special/PRU school environments. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Teachers with lessons, adhering to the school's schemes of work. Supporting the progress of all pupils in all subject areas. Inspire and motivate students with creative and dynamic support. Maintain classroom discipline using effective behaviour management strategies. Support with the assessment and recording requirements for pupil development. Provide regular feedback to parents and carers on pupil progress and behaviour. The ethos emphasises close collaboration with both specialist and mainstream schools, external agencies with expertise in their students' needs, and the private, voluntary, and charity sectors within their community.
