Job: Estimator Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for a medium sized family run Steel Fabricator based in central Scotland. Our client has been in operation for over 30 years and have built a successful business with a stable client base including frameworks both private sector and local authority. Due to expansion and succession planning, they are looking to engage an Estimator / operations manager with the opportunity to grow into a senior role within the organisation. Our client delivers a diverse selection of products including: Bridgeworks Canopies Balustrades Structural steelwork Walkovers The Job The Estimator will be responsible for: Tender generations through to successful delivery of projects on site. Must be comfortable with small jobs and large tender submissions. Excel and Word Proficient. Able to interpret both paper drawings and CAD models as required. Happy to liaise with client estimators/surveyors, suppliers and other team members. Predominately office-based with occasional site visits 39 hour week with start and finish times being flexible The business is at a comfortable size, organic growth is always a possibility, but increasing profitability through efficiency is always a company target. You will work closely with the management team to maintain and develop business relationships with clients, designers and sub-contractors. The Candidate The successful candidate will have: Experience in Estimating – You may also be a QS Experience in managing a small team Experience of managing small and medium sized jobs Be an excellent communicator and lead teams to a common goal Have a can-do attitude and work additional hours when required.
