If the answer is yes, this could be a fantastic role for you The opportunity Our client currently recruiting a Cable Routing Engineer who is appointed by the Engineering Director (ED), with the agreement of the relevant Framework Manager to deliver technical support to the Client within their discipline. In your role as Cable Routing Engineer, you will report to the Design Delivery Branch (DDB) Electrical Manager as part of the DDB Electrical Team for the management and surveillance of all cable routing activities. Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively. Your duties and responsibilities will be Preparation of cable routing drawings, diagrams and associated technical data related to the associated scopes. Support the delivery of the electrical design package activities to ensure systems are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business and technical requirements. Development of the required models / drawings to support on site works at HPC. Address technical queries raised by team members, contractors, and suppliers. Supporting organisational learning, helping in the identification, understanding and the effective resolution of events. Identify risks and open points and have an appropriate mitigation plan in place. Ensure that delivery of approved solution is conducted. Responsible for Ancillary Building electrical system architecture and managing site wide cable lists and load lists. Liaison with other NNB teams: Electrical, Commissioning, Security, Building Project Managers. Interface coordination with key stakeholders and attend meetings with Responsible Designer, stakeholders and contractors when required.You will have the following qualifications and experience Relevant higher education or time served equivalence, in a suitable engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering). 6 months’ experience post-graduation. Experience of the design, specification, and construction of cable routing systems within a process or nuclear environment. Good knowledge and experience of wiring and cable supporting systems. Experience of preparing technical designs and submissions. Experience of critically reviewing and appraising engineering documentation/specifications within a complex programme environment. Understanding of EU / UK electrical design codes and standards, including high level of familiarity with standards related to LV systems (e.g. BS7671:22018). Technical writing ability with experience in the preparation of reports, specifications & presentations.
