Mixing Operative (Nights) – Chilled Food Manufacturing
Location: Clitheroe
Shift: Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £13.42 per hour, increasing to £14.40 following full training.
We are looking for Mixing Operatives to join our brand new night shift at our Clitheroe site. You will be part of a team of
skilled operatives, ensuring that our factory runs efficiently and we achieve production targets.

Job Purpose:
To prepare and supply high quality products to the production line in a timely manner and to ensure that the line is kept running
due to providing correct materials at the appropriate times. Accountable for preparation of the product including mixing, cutting,
slicing. Skilled level mixer is required to follow all key accountabilities of Entry and Semi-skilled level.
Key Duties:
Entry Level
* Follow the Health and Safety (H&S) procedures and ensure all potential hazards are observed and reported
* Follow the company processes, site operating procedures in relation to food safety, allergen control and maintain good
manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the shift
* Follow clean as you go policy and high standards of personal hygiene
* Deliver high standards of quality ensuring products are produced to the customer satisfaction in line with site standards and
customer specification
* Use and maintain all equipment including cheese machine, tin opener, scales in a correct manner and report any
machine/equipment issues
* Adhere to plan and keep the production downtime to a minimum
* Minimize environmental impact by ensuring company procedures are adhered to regarding waste disposal
* Clocking in and out procedure – reporting of breaks and leaving the room
* Meet relevant KPIs and targets assign by the Supervisor / Manager
Semi-Skilled Level
* Complete and submit documentation accurately and on time to ensure traceability is maintained
* Adhere to all procedures and machinery use as stated in training matrix
* Independent mixing of the line
* Knowledge about raw materials
* Herb and chiller stock control
* Storage matrix understanding and use
* Ensuring no wrong mixes are done.
* Pull list collection
* GMP standards understanding and following
* Training of entry level mixers
* Syspal mixing solution operation
Skilled Level
* Live traceability
* Training of entry level mixers and continue development to level 2 mixer expectations.
* Ability to carry out masterclass of raw materials
* Accuracy of mixes to be adhered to at all times - Stock control of raw materials used
* Full understanding and use of Syspal mixing solution
* Ensuring no wrong mixes are done.
* Demonstrate good performance and participation in customer audits and trials.
* Ability to understand the role of project coordinator and QA to ensure the specific tasks are covered in their absence – this
does not mean covering the role.
You may be assigned to other work tasks and you will be expected to perform any reasonable requests and additional tasks as
requested.
