Project Engineer – Trim Shop
Location: Coventry
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

Company Overview: Our client, a specialist engineering design and development company, has grown into a business that can deliver a complete turnkey solution on behalf of its global customers. They have developed skills in project and supply chain management and implemented quality systems to deliver projects to the standards expected by customers.
Responsibilities
1. Follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company.
2. Oversee project budgets and work with the Director to ensure cost efficiency.
3. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver Trim Shop work to the highest standards.
4. Produce accurate Trim Shop quotes following the correct ordering process.
5. Produce accurate Bill of Materials for all trim shop projects.
6. Schedule Trim Shop workload in line with capacity and customer requirements.
7. Liaise with Design, Development, and Manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely project delivery.
8. Support senior management in the efficient day-to-day running and sustainable growth of the trim shop.
Essential Skills
1. Strong experience in an Automotive/Manufacturing environment as a Project Engineer within interiors/exteriors or in a Project Support/Management role.
2. Ability to liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
3. Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize workload.
4. Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
5. Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings.
6. Plan work and cascade to the team.
7. Integrate departmental planning with other business units.
8. Demonstrate good emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism.
9. Organized, methodical, but flexible approach to workload.
10. Must have IDLR/Full right to work in the UK - Sponsorship will not be provided.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience and knowledge of designing project guidelines and procedures.
2. Ability to lead small teams.
3. Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
