They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join their team. Role Overview: As a Buyer, you will coordinate all activities related to procuring goods and services from suppliers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to play a critical role in maintaining the quality and timely delivery of materials, while negotiating the best possible prices and terms. Role Responsibilities: Maintain computerised procurement records, including items or services purchased, costs, delivery, and product quality. Place purchase orders based on requisitions for engineering materials, component parts, and other items. Competitively bid product lines and negotiate to secure the best price, terms, and delivery while maintaining quality standards. Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues with non-conforming materials. Review requisitions and liaise with suppliers to obtain information on price, availability, and delivery schedules. Prepare purchase orders or bid requests and review bid proposals within budget limitations. Solve invoice queries raised by the Accounts department. Desired Skills: Mentoring or training experience. Ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively. Experience: Experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with contract negotiations and vendor selection. Salary: £40,000-£50,000.00 DOE Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, standard business hours Working Location: Wolverhampton, with potential domestic and international travel as needed.
