The Governors are looking to appoint a hard-working, inspiring and talented RE teacher to join our existing team and help take St Oscar Romero Catholic School into the next chapter of its exciting journey. Our school has been on a rapid journey of improvement over recent years, something that was recognised in July 2019 when our school was judged outstanding in all categories in its Diocesan Section 48 inspection. Last year, 84% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths. The Progress 8 score for the school was +0.89. Our challenge this year is to improve even further on that.
The RE department is a creative and energetic team, who are always looking for new ways to deliver the curriculum that excite, stretch and provoke curiosity in our students. Their excellent results are evidence of their deep commitment to our students. We are seeking to recruit a new member of the RE team who will bring spark, energy and empathy to the department as our school continues on its quest to be the best in the country. There is the possibility of teaching A-Level for the right candidate. We would also be happy to receive applications from ECTs, MPS and UPS teachers.
