Senior Contracting Solicitor
Flexible on any GTUK location, hybrid working
Our Office of the General Counsel advises on a wide variety of risk issues that arise in the delivery of professional services across assurance, tax, and advisory areas.

Role Overview
We seek an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to join our in-house legal team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Negotiating contracts with clients, such as MSAs and public-sector frameworks, and advising on contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and others.
2. Improving our standard terms of business based on negotiation experiences and arising issues.
3. Handling various commercial contracting issues, including advising on local-country adoption contracts, agreements with member-firms, data-sharing, secondment agreements, and software supply contracts; interpreting contractual provisions; providing legal input on termination, NDAs, tendering, and disclosure agreements; advising on risk management and compliance issues; and other legal matters related to our services.
4. Advising on collaboration agreements and referral contracts.
5. Collaborating with the Office of the General Counsel and risk-management team to advise colleagues and protect the firm’s interests.
6. Supporting and guiding less experienced lawyers, providing feedback, and identifying development opportunities.
7. Identifying risk trends and recommending mitigation strategies, including template and procedure updates.
8. Educating colleagues on legal and risk issues through training and guidance materials.
Candidate Profile
The minimum requirements are:
1. Qualified solicitor or barrister with experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
2. Good knowledge of professional liability law.
3. Understanding of professional services contracting and risk management.
4. Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
5. Self-motivated with the ability to manage conflicting demands.
6. Excellent communication skills, including drafting contractual terms.
7. Experience managing and developing colleagues.
