Role overview: QA Engineers champion quality assurance throughout Tes. As an QA Engineer you will be joining an agile team that includes Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Tech Leads, Engineers, and fellow QA Engineers. You will be working in a team that actively encourages openness and respect of one another, and will work alongside the team using transparent processes to inspect, adapt and continuously learn and improve. Key Responsibilities: Be the QA engineer in the triage squad, a centralised place to manage a priority list of customer issues Ensure the customer issues raised are fixed and meet the quality expectations and customer requirements You will work directly with the customer support team Represent QA during our daily Scrum stand-ups, planning sessions, product review and retrospective meetings. You will actively engage in discussions around the acceptance criteria and test scenarios for product features Ensure that the tickets being worked on during the sprints are adhering to the quality guidelines defined by QA Engineering Ensure that high quality standards are achieved at all times for all our software releases and a high level of automated coverage Be accountable for recording software defects and providing technical descriptions and evidence, whilst also providing feedback and regular updates to the team to ensure that our products are developed to the highest standard Identify and define opportunities for improvement, measurements for those improvements and the implementation and roll out process to ensure that overall quality standards and customer expectations are met or exceeded Ensure solutions are robust and fully tested before they’re shipped Build and maintain QA reporting capabilities Provide support, mentorship, and guidance to other team members Contribute and share knowledge with their own team and Tes Engineering via knowledge sharing meetings What will you need to succeed? More than 2 years’ experience working as a QA Engineer Experience with functional, exploratory, cross browser and user acceptance testing Experience with writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases Experience in writing scenarios in BDD in Gherkin syntax Experience in test automation tools such as Cypress and Cucumber Basic coding/scripting experience specifically in JavaScript, HTML and CSS Experience of API and Web Services Postman testing Experience in using Xray / JIRA Good working knowledge of CI/CD best practices for automating testing Demonstrate empathy, common sense, and pragmatism.
