Job Opportunity: Deputy Manager
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a well-established Care Home provider for children and young adults in Burton-on-Trent.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with OFSTED, specifically in the social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) sector. They should have a good understanding of BESD children and strategies used to manage challenging behavior.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in Children's residential care is essential, as well as experience working with children aged 8-15 years old. The successful candidate must hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
* Liaising with Local Authorities, Schools, Health, and other professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for young people
* Ensuring the positive development of young people in Care
* Using the community to support the social and learning aspects of young people
* Providing leadership and guidance to the team
* Managing staff welfare, staff absence, leave, and ensuring Health and Safety compliance
* Supporting the Registered Manager and leading when the Manager is absent
