We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Kirkham, a category D Prison located in Lancashire.
HMP Kirkham is an open prison for males that has a strong focus on rehabilitation, allowing inmates to gain qualifications and join workshops.
Hours
* Monday - Friday - 0800 - 1900
* Weekends & Bank Holidays - 0800 - 1200
* 37.5 hours per week
Salary
This position is full time, with an annual salary ranging from £28,247 up to £32,346 per annum (FTE) depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback to personalize care.
* Contributing to and implementing care packages, assisting with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics, and supporting patients with daily living and personal care.
* Delivering non-judgemental care, supporting health promotion clinics and collaborating with nursing and pharmacy teams.
* Forging strong links within teams, partners, and stakeholders to provide a trusted and safe service.
* Promoting best practice, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement while demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required:
* Qualified Nurse Associate
* Currently registered with the NMC
* Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
* Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
* Evidence of post-registration CPD in areas relating to current practice
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
