RPS (part of Tetra Tech) is looking for an experienced Business Development Administrator working across our UK Health, Safety & Risk (HSR) and Environment divisions to be preferably based in our corporate headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
About the Team
Reporting to the Business Development Director (BDD) in our Environment Division, working alongside our BD Executive, and supporting our technical lead seller-doers, you will be responsible for day-to-day business development and sales-led marketing support to deliver new work generation.
Our HSR and Environment divisions are recognised experts in their respective fields who work for a diverse range of end-clients, as well as contributing into wider RPS and Tetra Tech integrated service propositions.
Our BD team is well established and helps drive the growth in our business. As a result of our BD success and continuing company growth, we are looking for a BD Administrator to join our team.

What you will be doing
The Business Development Administrator will help with activity to support and develop business opportunities for the HSR and Environment Divisions. The role will include supporting the BDD and Operations / Technical Directors, drawing in support from the central Marketing and Bid teams, and include support on:
Client relationship management activities including client meeting scheduling and preparation, follow up, and client planning.
Follow up on leads and inquiries.
Sales-led marketing including flyers, website content, case studies, thought leadership articles, social media posts.
Proposal content and information for supplier evaluations, pre-qualifications, bids, tenders, and related presentations.
Organising and attending client events.
Liaising with RPS Marketing and Bid Teams to coordinate marketing and bidding activities and information transfer.
Reports highlighting key bids, wins, pipeline opportunities and look ahead.
Proactively build internal working relationships within other Consulting UK and ROI divisions and wider company.
Our HSR teams are based in main offices including Warrington, London and Basingstoke and the expectation is there would be occasional travel involved to those offices as part of the role.

Background and experience in BD and marketing preferably including client facing experience.
Effective communication and people skills: Ability to build rapport with colleagues and potential clients alike to effectively deliver on the role and communicate the company's value proposition.
Research and analytical skills: Capability to gather market intelligence and analyse data to identify new opportunities.
Familiarity with software tools used to manage leads and client information.
Organisational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise work effectively.
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency: Competency in creating documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Digital marketing: Experience of using social media such as LinkedIn, websites, webinar platforms such as Livestorm, and AI for content generation.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified to degree level preferred.
Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification or similar would be an advantage.
Experience of working in professional services firms and ideally (but not essential) in the health and safety, environmental, engineering, or allied sectors and in a similar role though may have come from a marketing or business support background.
