We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our Nuneaton-based Technical team. At WARP, the Technical team are the heart of our manufacturing facility, bringing our amazing products to life and getting them into the hands of our snackers. The Person: - The individual should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously - Hands-on, highly visible and credible on the factory floor - Dependable, can be relied upon to get the job done to the satisfaction of all stakeholders - A good communicator and relationship builder, capable of developing cross-functional relationships across the business - Good influencing skills, able to motivate others to improve performance - Self-motivated and determined - Sensitive to problems; has an ability to identify when something is wrong and seeks a resolution or escalates as appropriate The Role: The Quality Manager is responsible for driving implementation and compliance to site standards with consideration of all aspects of food safety, quality and legality. The role is responsible for leading and developing the QA team. Responsibilities: QA Team Management: - Manage the QA function to ensure ways of working are fit for purpose - Coaching and development of the QA team - Maintain and ensure adherence to QA compliance checks Compliance and Standards: - Ensure full implementation of factory-based site audit plan to improve standards and encourage an audit ready everyday approach - Lead decision making and resolution for non-conforming material and on hold stock - Involvement in development of hygiene methods, schedules and monitoring programmes - Support and coach factory teams to ensure full understanding and adherence to factory standards - Drive right first time - Support factory preparation for 3rd party and customer audits and visits - Involvement and support with factory improvement projects and complaints reduction initiatives - Support with development of site food safety culture Data and Reporting: - Ensure information needed for generation of reports is recorded accurately and in a timely manner - Meet data reporting commitments for the business to ensure full visibility and flow of information. - Review and analyse data to identify improvement opportunities - Drive Red zone implementation across all areas for completion of QA checks Strategic Planning: - Collaborate with the Technical Manager to define and achieve the overall strategic business plan and objectives. Requirements: - Extensive and proven technical experience in a food manufacturing business - A Quality, Food Science, or Science Degree (or related discipline) is preferable - Natural co-ordinator with the ability to communicate effectively with all departments.
