Learner Attendance Coach
Fixed term 2 years with consideration for extension
37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year?
£23, 568 - £25, 748 pro rata to £19,806-£21,638 per annum
Who are we looking for?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wellbeing Team at BSDC and extend our support to our learners. This role is responsible for the reporting and recording of learner absence. Sat within the Progress Coach team they will work alongside the Progress Coach Team Leader and Progress Coach Team to accurately record any learner absence. The main purpose for the role is to be the first point of contact for absences, highlighting any patterns around attendance and punctuality, sending letters and flagging any ongoing concerns to the Progress Coach or Safeguarding team.
Experience in customer service and skills in liaising with young people, parents and staff in a polite and professional manner is essential.
The role will be based at the Burton campus predominantly but there will be an expectation for at least one day a week to be at the SBCA campus in Swadlincote.
We are looking for an approachable organised empathetic person with experience of working with young people in a supportive capacity. .
