GSL Education are actively seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of KS3 Teacher in a specialist setting in Gateshead. The setting caters for pupils aged 11-16 with additional needs around behaviour, mental health and social /emotional difficulties. Working as part of of motivated,friendly and supportive teaching team you will deliver general subjects to KS3 pupils, some who are working to a lower level and those who are exceeding expectations. You will have a team of teaching assistants in you class and will be teaching groups that are small in each lesson. We are looking for a Teacher who can make learning fun and effective, embedding knowledge and bringing the curriculum to life. The setting offers excellent CPD to supply staff, free parking on-site and a real potential to join the school as a permanent member of staff ( qualifying conditions apply ) This unique opportunity is set to commence immediately, and we are looking for candidates with a proven track record, particularly those experienced in SEMH or working with reluctant or challenging learners. The Successful Candidate Will: Hold a UK recognized Teaching qualification Have at least 6 months UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE Build rapport quickly, delivering fun and fast-paced lessons with appropriately differentiated content Demonstrate confidence in planning lessons when required Have experience teaching pupils with significant barriers to learning, emphasizing a calm, caring, and kind disposition Be adept at directing support assistants The ideal candidate will: Be available for work Monday to Friday Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us) A fully checkable work history We welcome applications from all teachers who feel that they can add value to an already flourishing department and whom can prosper in a highly effective, fast-paced environment.
