VEA Telecoms UK are going through an exciting period of growth, we are recruiting for an experienced SHEQ Advisor for our operation based in Coleshill, Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the role and grow with our business as we move to various areas across the South.
Essential Requirements
* NEBOSH
* Driving licence
* Experience in Telecoms / Construction
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Assist and oversee that all Health & Safety Regulations are implemented and adhered to. Review, evaluate, and analyse work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals. Keep the company protected by enforcing rules and regulations with help from Supervisors and managers on site.
* Abide by the set time scales.
* Work within company H&S Budget.
* Adhere to Company policies and departmental procedures.
* Ensure monthly Health and Safety and Environmental reports are submitted to the Project Managers.
* Ensure that the organisation is aware of and complies with all legislation in relation to the use of its plant, equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace activities.
* Develop occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals as per legislation.
* Examine credentials, licenses, or permits to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
* Work with BrightSafe internal systems.
* Keep up to date with industry changes.
