Assistant Leader of Learning Support - Full Time, Permanent
St. David’s College is a popular and over-subscribed Sixth Form College providing high quality education for 16–19-year-olds within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. In our 2019 Estyn inspection, we achieved an ‘excellent’ grade in inspection area one for standards and in inspection area five for leadership and management.
As Assistant Leader of Learning Support, you will ensure, at a strategic level, that the needs of all learners with ALN are met. This includes assisting in working closely with schools and LAs to ensure a smooth transition for young people, developing systems and processes to track and monitor students, ensuring compliance with ALN legislation and developing and reviewing IDPs.
The successful candidate will have the ability to assist in leading a team, work to tight deadlines, and plan and prioritize work effectively. Excellent knowledge of key developments within FE, especially those related to additional learning support including the ALN Bill, is essential.
Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills are necessary, including the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with students, parents/guardians, other members of staff within the college, and with professionals and external organisations. The successful post holder must demonstrate professionalism, credibility, and authority in providing a learning support service.

The position is Full Time and attracts a salary of £46,431.07-£49,934.18 depending on experience.
