Registered Manager - Learning Disabilities ServiceCastle Cary, Somerset£45,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE & qualifications) | 40 hours per week | 6 weeks' annual leave
Are you a passionate and experienced leader looking to make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs? This specialist service in Castle Cary is seeking a Registered Manager to set up and oversee its new residential facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
* Lead and develop a dedicated team to deliver person-centred care.
* Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and best practices.
* Oversee budgets, staffing, and service operations efficiently.
* Support individuals, including those with dual mental health diagnoses, through transition pathways - preventing hospital admissions or enabling step-down care.
* Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
* Drive quality improvement through audits, assessments, and staff development.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A valid CQC registration as a manager.
* Experience in managing residential services for individuals with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
* A solid understanding of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) - a relevant qualification in PBS or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is desirable.
* Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively.
* A commitment to safeguarding, risk management, and compliance.
