We are a leading manufacturer of air handling units (AHUs) and ventilation systems, specialising in solutions for swimming pools, leisure centres, and commercial buildings for over 40 years. We are looking for a skilled AHU Engineer to join our dynamic team and support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our swimming pool ventilation systems.
Job Purpose:
The AHU Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of air handling units and dehumidification systems designed for swimming pools and other high-humidity environments. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, particularly in pool ventilation, and the ability to provide technical support to clients and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain AHUs and ventilation systems for swimming pools.
Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components.
Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
Provide technical support and advice to clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Perform routine and reactive maintenance to optimize system performance.
Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and performance improvements.
Work closely with the design and sales teams to ensure correct system specifications.
Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on-site.Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience working with air handling units (AHUs) and ventilation systems, preferably in swimming pool environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, dehumidification, and air distribution systems.
Experience with electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair.
Knowledge of controls
Understanding of industry regulations and best practices in ventilation and air quality control.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and contractors.
Full UK driving license (if applicable for field-based roles).Desirable Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
