We are currently working in partnership with a Midlands-based social housing provider, who are looking to appoint a Surveyor (Complex Cases) on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time, predominantly office-based position, with a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of leading Damp, Mould & Disrepair, and hold RICS Membership, CIOB or equivalent.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Conducting property inspections to identify disrepair issues, as well as damp, mould, structural defects and any other maintenance issues.
* Preparing accurate, comprehensive reports and providing recommendations for remedial action in line with legislation.
* Liaising with tenants, landlords and legal teams to investigate complaints and resolve disputes.
* Working effectively with contractors, maintenance teams and external stakeholders to oversee works.
* Issuing written site instructions to contractors to work within approved limits and assist in the collection of documentation to check validity of claims.
* Maintaining up-to-date records and documentation using internal systems.
Experience & Skills required:
* Experience required in Social Housing.
* Knowledge of undertaking disrepair, damp & mould inspections.
* Understanding of current CDM and contract management.
* Experience working with customers within housing.
* RICS Membership, CIOB or equivalent.
