2nd Line IT Support Engineer Location: Remote, with travel to Crawley & London Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role Lloyd Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer with expertise in modern cloud-based IT technologies and Microsoft 365. This client-facing role requires strong technical and communication skills to provide high-quality IT support and consultancy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure, with a willingness to engage with a broad range of IT technologies. Ideally you will come from an MSP background with over 3 years of client facing experience. Key Responsibilities Provide 2nd line support for escalated IT issues across client environments Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, server, and network problems efficiently Manage and operate Microsoft 365 environments, including Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange Online Manage and support Azure environments, including Azure AD, Virtual Machines, and Azure Virtual Desktops Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Endpoint Management Configure and troubleshoot networking (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP) and security solutions (e.g., Duo, Meraki, Sophos) Collaborate with 1st and 3rd line teams for issue resolution Assist with IT projects, including migrations and deployments of cloud and hybrid solutions Ensure thorough documentation of technical solutions and ITIL-aligned processesKey Skills & Experience Microsoft 365 Expertise: Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online Microsoft Azure: Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktops, and Backup & Security Networking & Security: Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, Duo, Meraki, Sophos Virtualisation: Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V Scripting & Automation: PowerShell scripting skills are highly desirable Backup & DR Solutions: Experience with technologies such as Veeam and Mimecast Tools & Processes: Familiarity with RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, N-able) and ITIL principles Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for client site visitsCertifications such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (e.g., AZ-104), CompTIA Network, or similar are advantageous but not essential.
