Role Summary
The Automation Technician is responsible for implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all automation equipment including robotics and controls programming.
PAY RATE: $45.87/HR (after probationary period)

Key Responsibilities
1. PLC, robot and HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting
2. Preventative maintenance of production and support equipment
3. Repair of equipment
4. Design, verification and maintenance of electrical schematics
5. Assist in setting up, maintaining programming, electrical components and schematic standards
6. Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software, application files and programming hardware
Key Qualifications/Requirements
1. Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (3 year Robot and Automation Program) and/or Provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309A) or applicable substitute
2. Experience with automated equipment required
3. Experience with automated mould, production and process equipment preferred
4. Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
5. Strong Knowledge of Robotics (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman)
6. Strong knowledge of HMI programming (FTV, View, RSView32)
7. Strong knowledge of various networks (Ethernet/IP, DH+, RIO, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus2, RS232)
8. Ability to interpret and design electrical schematics
