Maths Teacher
Are you a passionate Maths Teacher who thrives on making a difference in learners' lives? Do you bring energy, innovation, and empathy to your lessons? We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a forward-thinking education provider, delivering GCSE Maths (Edexcel) and Functional Skills Maths (L1 & L2) to learners remotely.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing and delivering tailored online lessons to support learner engagement and achievement
2. Using a range of assessment methods and providing meaningful feedback
3. Tracking attendance, progress, and behaviour via digital systems
4. Supporting learners in preparing for exams and reaching their full potential
5. Liaising with guardians, attending virtual meetings, and participating in CPD and training
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an organised, enthusiastic, and skilled maths teacher who is passionate about education and has a strong grasp of teaching remotely.
Essential:
1. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent Level 2)
2. A degree or relevant qualification in Maths or a related subject
3. Experience teaching GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths (L1/L2)
4. Strong digital skills and ability to work independently
5. Understanding of the Ofsted framework and how to meet expectations
6. Empathy and insight into challenges faced by learners from disadvantaged backgrounds
7. Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Desirable:
1. Level 5 teaching qualification (or working towards it)
2. Experience in further education or post-16 provision
3. Familiarity with embedding maths into vocational subjects or industry settings
4. Background in a creative or entrepreneurial field
