Summary We’re looking for an experienced Head of Inclusion and Belonging to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This will be a job share opportunity of 22.5 hours over 3 days. Reporting to the People Engagement Director, you’ll be job sharing the leadership of our Inclusion and Belonging Team. This is a small, friendly central team within our People Directorate. We lead the National Trust’s work on inclusion, diversity, wellbeing, children and young people, and safeguarding. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing Leading our EDI work, the Head of Inclusion & Belonging is focused on embedding an inclusive culture across the Trust, with a specific focus on race awareness and equity. You’ll support the transition of our Everyone Welcome work as we move into a new strategy, working collaboratively through a wide range of stakeholders, monitoring and reporting progress to senior leaders. You’ll lead, working with and through others, encouraging collective responsibility amongst senior leaders. You’ll collaborate and problem solve, using data and insight, developing and embedding inclusive and equitable practices, monitoring progress, focused on clearly identified outcomes. You’ll create a sense of belonging, championing a culture of listening and wellbeing. You’ll guide our work to be responsive to our networks. You’ll be ambitious for our progress, supporting us to attract, recruit and retain a broader range of people to work and volunteer at the Trust.
