Project Manager (Contract Role) Location: Initial 6 months in Kent, with the option to work on other projects across the UK thereafter. Hybrid working available but requires on-site presence. Contract Length: 6–12 months Pay Rate: £400-£440 per day (CIS, Umbrella, Limited Company - outside IR35) About the Role: Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in the water industry and strong mechanical experience? This contract opportunity offers the chance to oversee exciting projects in the water and wastewater treatment sector. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time and within budget, ensuring high standards are met at every stage. Key Responsibilities: Manage all technical, operational, and commercial aspects of project delivery, from design to handover. Coordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and delivery phases. Act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with CDM files, method statements, risk assessments, and quality assurance requirements. Select plant, equipment, and subcontractor services for project execution. Prepare monthly progress reports and manage health, safety, quality, and environmental plans. Identify and manage variations, issue early warnings, and ensure smooth client handovers. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Project Management qualification or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the water industry. Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in construction-related activities, particularly in water and wastewater treatment. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of forecasting and budgets. Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel/stay overnight as needed.
