The successful Mechanical Engineer responsible for all mechanical equipment scope, primarily Valves, Piping and Rotating machines. Ensuring the application of appropriate engineering codes and standards and management of any deviations from standards. Preparation of in-house specifications and procedures. Ensure all design projects and reports are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Maintain regular in house design reviews and checks. Manage or participate in the specification, design and safe operation of oil, gas and chemical storage and transportation equipment. Not limited to: Tank Builds, Tank modifications, Pressure Vessels, Piping, Pumps, Jetty systems, and Boilers / Fired heaters. Review of feed, detailed design and commissioning deliverables. Provide assurance to the UK & Ireland Engineering Manager that the MOC process is applied correctly. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis Studies (HAZIDs, HAZOPs) and FMEA studies. Lead in the identification and scoping of projects and plant modifications. Prepare cost estimates and business case proposals for mechanical CAPEX. To be successful in this role of Mechanical Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of: Relevant Mechanical Engineering degree or Significant Project Experience Significant mechanical design experience including specification of Tanks, Valves and Piping Site Commissioning and Troubleshooting experience Specification of Tank inspection and repair of above and below ground storage tanks oil and chemical Storage. Horton Spheres and LPG Bullets for Gas Storage.
