UK Warehouse Lead Duties
Reporting to the Operations Director, the newly created position of UK Warehouse Lead will act as the process owner for all warehouse and stock related activities across CHHs sites in Birmingham and Chesterfield. He/she will assume responsibility for site audits and compliance reporting, as well as performance reporting. Additional duties will include:
1. Analyse and optimize processes to identify ways to improve efficiency and increase productivity.
2. Oversee efficient warehouse operations enabling the business to fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets.
3. Plan and approve schedules.
4. Manage budgets.
5. Establish and enforce policies.
6. Negotiate with vendors and contractors.
7. Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
8. Produce regular reports and statistics.
9. Assist in planning future capacity requirements.
Essential Skills And Attributes
1. Should have operational experience gained within a warehouse environment i.e. not just a Lean practitioner or similar.
2. Line management experience and can evidence record of developing team members.
3. IT literate in particular spreadsheets and databases with a knowledge of warehouse systems.
4. Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality.
5. Good planning skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
