Business Development and Sales
Jackson Hogg is currently looking to recruit a Business Development and Sales Manager for a fantastic mechanical contractor who is recognised nationally and internationally for providing turnkey engineering solutions.
Location: The role will be field-based and will cover the UK. There will be ad hoc travel to their site in South Yorkshire.
Industry Sectors: Water Infrastructure, Nuclear, Transport & Mining and Hoisting
Responsibilities
1. Structured approach, ability to rank opportunities
2. Develop knowledge of the company's key markets
3. Identify and develop new markets
4. Responsible for providing a targeted approach to finding customers in existing and new markets
5. Proactively chasing targeted customers
6. Identifying client needs and how the company can accommodate these
7. Seeking out and completing high value bids and tenders
8. Involvement in quotation preparation and ensure quotes meet customer requirements
9. Operating and maintaining a CRM system
Skills Required
1. Experienced in technical project-based industrial selling
2. Account Management experience
3. Proven track record in progressing projects to order placement
4. Comfortable seeking out and completing high value bids and tenders
5. Track record of closing high value projects/enquiries
6. Playing an active role in further development of a robust Sales Pipeline
The Person
1. Self-starter & self-motivated
2. Action oriented, well organised and ability to multi-task
3. Positive approach and an energy provider
4. Foster and develop internal relationships
5. Ideally located in Yorkshire or very close
6. Ability to travel across the UK and spend nights away
7. Proficient IT skills, written reports, presentation skills, database management
