Tasks
* Travelling schools within your local area to deliver assessment and/or therapy services to multiple children throughout the day.
* During assessments, identifying the speech/communication difficulty through observation and testing to understand the impact of the child’s difficulties.
* Using insights gathered during assessments to plan and develop appropriate therapeutic intervention in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
* Liaising with schools, parents and The Owl Centre team regarding any findings and progress made with each child.
* Ensuring case notes and reports are written and uploaded in a timely manner to the relevant system(s).
Requirements
* An accredited Speech and Language Therapy degree
* HCPC registration
* At least 1 years’ experience as a Speech and Language Therapist (post-competency)
* Ideally a minimum 1 full school day available to work each week (this would enable you to spend a full day in one school, seeing multiple children – minimising your travel time whilst maximising your earnings!)
* Ability to travel for appointments
