Biomedical Scientist - Band 5

Contract Duration: 1 x Permanent & 1 x Fixed Term Contract (18 Months)

Applications are invited from well-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals. for the post of Trainee Biomedical Scientist in the Molecular Pathology / Haematology Malignancy Molecular Service (HMDS) at the Western General Hospital (WGH) and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE).
The successful applicant will work with other BMS and Clinical Scientist staff to support the Molecular Pathology/HMDS service. Candidates should be adaptable, have good interpersonal skills and a professional attitude. Practical experience and knowledge of molecular techniques are desirable.
Registered Biomedical Scientists (new registrants) should have the appropriate state registered BSc (hons) Biomedical Science degree and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
