We have an exciting opportunity for a Global HR Manager to join our team contributing at both hands-on and strategic levels to help Reuters deliver its ambitious strategic priorities. The role is varied and involves HR partnering support for a range of regional and global leaders within the Editorial organisation, delivering regional HR service responsibilities for UK based managers and employees and will contribute to key global HR initiatives and processes.
About the Role
As a Global HR Manager at Thomson Reuters, you will:
1. Provide thought partnership and HR consultative services to a range of editorial leaders and general managers, guiding them to resolution on a wide range of critical people & business issues in partnership with Regional HR and Centers of Excellence
2. Analyse data and trends, identifying people & culture needs and partner effectively with Editorial and HR stakeholders to design, recommend and deliver relevant talent solutions & to develop and implement workforce planning strategies
3. Drive diversity & inclusion agenda across all HR levers (talent, reward, culture, learning, etc) in service of creating a world class culture of talent
4. Facilitate execution of cyclical processes (compensation, performance management etc.) within specific groups ensuring global co-ordination clear communication, high quality decisions, timely completion and a positive stakeholder experience
5. Provides UK regional HR support to first line managers & employees including guidance on policies, people processes and complex people issues (e.g. performance management, compensation etc.)
6. Ensures a consistent approach to HR activities and compliance with regional and global policies and legal requirements whilst adhering to local statutory requirements under employment legislation.
7. Manages medium to high complexity employee relations cases as needed
8. Contribute to M&A due diligence or integration activity
9. Support the HRBP team in talent, reward, culture, leadership development and organisational development initiatives
About You
To be a Global HR Manager at Thomson Reuters, you will likely have:

11. They will think globally, be flexible, and focused, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and will thrive in a fast-paced and niche team & business within a larger organisation.
12. They will have a high sense of ownership, urgency and drive and be experienced in bringing creative and effective ideas and solutions to the organizations they operate in.
13. They will be willing to roll their sleeves up, be comfortable with a varied role & shifting priorities and will have the ability to build credible relationships quickly.
14. Experience working within News media would be advantageous.
15. Union experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
