The Workday Centre of Excellence (CoE) sits within the HR function and is responsible for the overall Workday service provided to the HR and employee community and serves as a technical/functional point-of-contact for the HR users and related business units. The CoE keeps the lights on, maintains the platform integrity, and keeps employee data secure. The CoE responds to customer requests for change in order that each Operating Company (OpCo) can continue to utilise HR lifecycle services which reside in Workday, appropriate for their business. The team works with third parties who provide services such as payroll, banking, time-tracking, recruitment, job boards and digital signatures. The CoE continually looks for business efficiencies and works on a continued programme of change exploiting Workday to provide optimum value to the business – providing a digitised experience whilst reducing manual effort. The Workday CoE is running a Recruitment Optimisation project and the next stage is further technology enhancements and the introduction of AI. In addition, there will be a number of HCM optimisation initiatives some of which will underpin recruitment. The HCM & Recruitment Consultant will have a functional role within the CoE, ensuring that the solutions designed and delivered for HCM and Recruitment Optimisation projects get the best out of Workday for the business today and for the future. The role will also have an element of general support as part of the BAU activities to maintain the Workday platform. Workday HCM & Recruitment Consultant - responsibilities The specific role responsibilities are as follows: Take a lead functional role in the majority of HCM and Recruitment change. Design, configure, and implement system enhancements determining best fit for the business by delivering optimized business processes & configuration. Drive relevant continuous improvement based on the Workday agreed roadmap and stakeholder inputs. Build effective and positive relationships with HR, recruiters, business stakeholders and subject matter experts with the aim of building confidence in the global Workday solution across all OpCo’s and operating environments. Work with Works Councils, Governance and Approval forums (including data privacy, cyber and legal) to ensure all platform controls and changes comply with best practice and agreed design principles. Communicate and ensure approval by the appropriate committees before being implemented into the production environment. Deliver training and assist with the development and maintenance of design, support & end-user materials, and stakeholder communications for assigned specialist areas. Contribute to the design of the support service that make up the overall Recruitment service offering, where new partners and tooling are introduced. Provide expert-level support to resolve complex Workday platform issues, ensuring minimal disruption, and respond quickly to diverse ad-hoc requests from OpCo’s via the service management ticketing system. Skills required for success in this role Proven experience of delivering technology improvement projects, with strong functional evaluation skills to comprehend complex challenges and oversee changes from requirements gathering to implementation. Strong understanding of HR and Recruitment needs, HRIS design, HR processes, terminology, and the ability to translate requirements into Workday solutions to meet business needs at an OpCo and global scale. Demonstrated experience in designing, configuring and supporting the HCM and Recruitment modules within Workday. Experience of AI tooling used in Recruitment solutions such as HiredScore, interview scheduling tools, and transcription tools would be preferable. Experience of working with functionality such as Workday Docs, Guided Experience, Quick Tips would be preferable. Experience of On-boarding optimisation would be preferable. Good understanding of Workday security concepts, integration delivery, reporting, and testing in a multi-tenant and multi-company environment. Clear understanding of GDPR and global data privacy considerations. LI-NC1
