We are currently recruiting fora Management Accountant to join our Finance team. The Management Accountant provides support to the finance department in all areas of management and financial reporting, with an emphasis on the production of the weekly and monthly management accounts. You will be a key player in the quarter-end hard close, forecasting and budgeting processes, the main duties of this role include, but are not limited to: Completion of weekly and periodic management reporting information to the internal management team Provide sales, margin and cost information as required across the business Production of weekly management accounts to strict timelines Production of the periodic management accounts to strict timelines Engage with management to provide insight, guidance and challenge on cost control and lead change to generate cost reductions. Any other reports/information as requested by senior management Year end and quarterly hard close balance sheet integrity Ensure timely closure of all relevant ledgers and timely input of all necessary journals to SAGE in accordance with group and divisional requirements Ensure that accurate and concise balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly and quarterly basis in accordance with group requirements and all aspects are followed up to maintain the integrity of the balance sheet. Provide support in the preparation and completion of reporting templates and presentations as required Provide information requested by internal and external auditors including timely resolution of any queries arising. Production of forecast and budget information Support and be actively involved in the forecasting and budgeting processes through the preparation of detailed analysis on all areas of the P&L. Responsible for investigating and reporting any significant variances and KPIs compared to budget/forecast, prior year and prior period. Generation of group templates and presentation information for review with the wider management team. Commercial support to the management team Provide financial information to support the decision making of the business Engage with the managers of the business using financial information and provide appropriate support and challenge. The successful candidate will have: Acountancy qualification to ACA, CIMA or ACCA standard A minimum of 2 years experience working in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Ability to work on own initiative Desirable 3rd level qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting Exposure to SAGE systems Exposure to Oracle systems This is a 12 month contract Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
