Venn Group are currently recruiting for Maintenance Assistants for multiple public sector organisations across the West Midlands.
The ideal candidate will be available to start on short notice and be willing to work flexible shift patterns.
You will need to work Monday to Friday standard 37.5 hours week (overtime may become available when needed).
The role will involve:
* Carrying out general building maintenance i.e. changing locks, unblocking of drains.
* Escorting contractors.
* Assisting with managing the security of the premises including liaising with third party contractors.
* Carrying out daily visual inspections of fire alarm panels to check for faults or warnings.
* Performing weekly fire alarm tests, activating a different manual call point each time.
* Assisting in fire drills by ensuring alarms activate properly and recording response times.
* Playing a key role in the development, recording and maintenance of Health and Safety procedures and controls.
* Always showing excellent customer service.
* Liaising with the wider team and always ensuring safety.
