Role: Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Castle Donnington
Shifts: Suez (Days and Nights)
Salary: £61,000 per annum plus Pension, Overtime and Training
The Company
I am currently working with Knapp UK on an exclusive basis at one of the flagship sites in Castle Donington for a number of Maintenance Engineers. Knapp are a true leader in the world of automation. They are one of the largest systems integrators in the world with over 7000 employees operating in over 60 countries! Knapp are now turning over close to two billion pounds worldwide and their market continues to grow year after year. As a business, they can offer immense amounts of progression opportunities, security, and internal/external training. They provide solutions to some of the largest household brands including Boots, M&S, Primark, The Very Group, and many more. Knapp invests heavily in R&D, priding themselves on first-class service to all their customers.
Knapp UK is forever evolving the way they develop, deliver, and support their customers to ensure they fulfill their customers' demands. They do this through using the latest state-of-the-art technology including OSR shuttle systems, hanging garments, various pick and place robotics, and a range of other automation.
On this new site in Castle Donington, since the site opened in 2020, there has been £87 million invested to keep up with the demand of the site. In 2023, there was a large expansion installing some new shuttle systems. With the latest automation and technology, the site processes over 120,000 orders a day. The site's aim is to get the unit out of the warehouse 30 minutes after the order, showing how state-of-the-art and slick the process is. You will be managing a shift team of 6, which includes a Deputy Team Leader, a few engineers, and a couple of Automation Assistants. Continuous improvement is a big aim for the site, looking at the money invested in the little time that the site has been open. They are looking for someone who has a passion for the longevity of the site and enjoys looking into CI to keep the site moving forward.
