What we are looking for:
FairPlay Sports Media are looking for a IT Support Manager to come on board and take ownership of the current group back office enterprise IT estate, managing our third party supplier management and ongoing BAU support of the IT function. This is the perfect role for someone who values independence and the ability to create and deliver their own vision with the support of a diverse and talented team of peers and mentors.
FairPlay Sports Media comprises of around 230 individuals working out of multiple offices and remotely across the US, UK, Canada, Brazil and EU. A leading brand in the price comparison market for betting and igaming, with significant growth due to strong leadership into new markets and recent investment, we are looking for an individual comfortable with setting up new offices and employees remotely.
We currently have a mix of both Windows and Apple devices in our IT estate.
This is a hands-on role so if you are successful, you will be able to be closely involved in our tech and won't be out of touch with what's going on the ground. There is also management responsibilities as you work with a small team of engineers, where you can provide mentorship and training.
Key responsibilities:
1. Day to day management of a team of engineers to include shift rota management, holiday sign off, 1-2-1s and appraisals, training and career development
2. Work closely with technical, security and HR team leads to ensure consistency and best practice and help develop standard approaches to IT Support across FairPlay Sports Media
3. Manage the relationship with our third party enterprise IT suppliers ensuring business requirements alignment and fit
4. Manage group licensing across our estate (e.g. slack, lucid chart) including SSO integration strategies
5. Ensure hardware and software is fit for purpose across the business and vulnerabilities are identified and patched.
6. Desktop platform support of Windows and Mac OS (Intune/JAMF)
7. Managing key one time projects e.g. rebranding and tool migrations
8. Managing and rolling out global MDM solutions
9. Investigate problems and progress to resolution or escalation and where needed, actively liaise with other department’s support teams or other 3rd Party suppliers to resolve escalated issues.
10. Assisting with the management and review of major Incidents and identifying root causes and workarounds for problems
11. Ensure daily tasks are carried out to ensure the smooth running of the Enterprise IT infrastructure, such as monitoring to ensure maximum availability and excellent performance of systems
12. Occasional site visits to other FairPlay Sports Media office locations
Key Characteristics and Experience:
1. Must be able to lead through example and manage team leads and vendors who provide the complete enterprise IT platform
2. Desktop platform support of Windows 11 and Mac OS
3. Managing Zero Trust networking solutions (e.g. Prisma Access)
4. Packaging and deployment of various applications such as Microsoft Office 2016, VPN client software and anti-virus across both Mac and Windows hardware
5. Experience with a range of enterprise IT technologies such as Office suite, Bitlocker, desktop antivirus, DLP, VPN and imaging
6. Microsoft SCCM or Jamf Pro experience would be a distinct advantage
7. MDM Technologies, IOS & Android
Your Skillset:
1. Excellent knowledge of Windows and Apple Mac desktop operating systems.
2. Back office platform support including Windows server 2012 R2 O/S, with standard administration and configuration responsibilities with server roles such as Fileshare, Print, DFS, DC, DNS and DHCP
3. Desktop platform support of Windows and Mac OS (MDM solutions: Intune/JAMF)
4. Application systems, such as MS SfB, Disk Encryption, Antivirus, Backup solutions, Data Loss Prevention, Application packaging and software deployment and Imaging systems.
