Deputy Home Manager (Nursing)
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Salary: £50,000 per year
Job Type: Permanent, salaried position
About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded care home, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the smooth and effective running of their home. In this role, you'll assist in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring that care standards meet or exceed expectations. You'll oversee the care team, guide their development, and assume full management responsibilities in the Home Manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising and training care staff.
* Supporting pre-admission assessments.
* Maintaining accurate care records.
* Fostering strong relationships with residents' families and external organisations.
Reports to: Home Manager
Key Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
* Ability to engage with residents and understand their individual care needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and referral pathways for vulnerable adults.
* Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and compliance.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with families, care professionals, and the staffing team.
* Ability to promote resident and family involvement in developing and reviewing care plans.
Qualifications
* Essential: NMC-registered nurse with relevant experience.
