Solicitor - Housing
About The Role
Are you an experienced housing solicitor looking to work in-house, improving the lives of people in the local community? Are you looking to work more independently, managing your own caseload and using your proven expertise and professional judgement supporting colleagues on housing matters?
We’re looking for a new legal housing specialist to join our team, providing legal advice and representation across a broad range of contentious and advisory housing matters, including property disrepair cases, tenancy matters, access, arrears and occupation, dealing with associated applications, claims and settlements to successful conclusion.
About you
This is an exciting new opportunity for a high calibre, experienced solicitor with unparalleled attention to detail and professional integrity, able to combine technical advice with pragmatic case resolution, to join a high-performing organisation and close-knit team. You might be working in an in-house role already or looking to make the move from private practice. You’ll be someone who shares our core values of Ownership, Innovation, Teamwork and Inclusion and looks to incorporate them into their day to day work.
You’ll bring to the role your solid experience of housing / property legal matters including assignment, succession, possession, occupation, tenancy breach, ASB and service charges and will be able to advise us on case merits, options and resolution up to and including court attendance and representation where required.
You’ll hold a law degree or comparable legal qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant PQE and will be a practising solicitor. You’ll have strong influencing and negotiation skills, a solutions-focused approach and be comfortable working autonomously.
You’ll need to have a flexible approach to work, as some out of hours work may be required, as well as a full UK driving licence and use of a car insured for business use.
