Poscity Plymouth What DBS check is required?: None Pospospublishenddate 25 July 2024 Descriptionheader Site Engineer We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our team based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth Business Area: Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks - Major Projects Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Hybrid working and some flexibility available Additional: Subsistence & Disturbance payments available Responsibilities As a Site Engineer, you will be working within the Kier team, supporting the refurbishment of Devonport Dockyards Royal Navy submarine maintenance programme. Your day to day will include: Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings Assist in establishing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly Completing Daily Diaries What we are looking for This role of Site Engineer is great for you, if: Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable - one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher Apprenticeship Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey, familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS Proven people and project management skills and team leader with organisational skills We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
