BBC Studios is looking to bring on board two junior content editors to work on its flagship programme ‘The One Show’. The role will work to a content editor and be responsible for output editing 2-3 shows a week, including the weekly Watchdog segment, alongside a producer, and will also support with line managing the studio team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in live entertainment or magazine shows (preferable in early peak or primetime) and running live galleries, excellent script writing skills, great leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams, experience working with high profile presenters, good communication and organisation, and a thorough understanding of The One Show’s current tone and output. A passion for popular culture and what the country’s talking about, and a background in consumer or factual programming would also be advantageous.
This is an exciting opportunity for two content editors of the future who are passionate about creating must-watch, entertaining and topical live TV to continue developing their experience.
Roles are London and largely office based, starting 21st July.
