To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for aKiln Technician to come and join our team at our Cattybrook in Bristol Specific responsibilities include: Monitoring and maintaining consistent operation of the tunnel kilns and driers in a safe manner Completing burner set-ups, basic mechanical repairs, planned maintenance and lubrication activities. Conducting quality, environmental and process checks and testing to ensure product compliance and optimal performance. Maintaining higher standards of housekeeping and environmental to support the Factory's 5S programme. Assisting with kiln car maintenance tasks e.g. refractory replacement, wheel greasing. Checking of kiln car loads, and marshalling cars around the factory as required. Assist in the development of Risk Assessments and Standard Safe Operating Procedures Recording and documenting of process results and maintenance activities. Delivering through the process of IMS (TPM) plant improvement initiatives and continuous improvement. Essential Qualifications & Experience: High degree of Safety Awareness Excellent time keeping and attendance Flexible - available for overtime when needed Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks. Self- motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Methodical and systematic approach with a high attention to detail Numerate and literate Team working attitude Demonstrable problem solving skills Good communication skills Basic mechanical or scientific aptitude, including Mathematics and Science GCSEs A-C grades.
