Ward 6C is now recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse to join their friendly and supportive nursing team. Working in a 30 bedded ward that specialises in cardiology, endocrine, diabetes and general medicine, the successful candidate will be passionate about providing patients with the highest standards of care, ideally have an interest in healthcare innovation, and be someone who is inspired to drive through changes in Daily Dynamic Discharge and patient flow.
Experience of working in a cardiology / general medicine ward would be advantageous, however Ward 6C offers many learning experiences for newly qualified or experienced nurses alike and interested applicants are encouraged to make contact with the ward to find out more about the work of the team.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a flexible pattern which can include days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern acute hospital based in the capital of the Highlands, which affords a high standard of living with easy access to stunning surroundings on your doorstep, and good travel links from Inverness to other parts of the UK.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
