Job Summary
Apogee is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our finance team on a contract basis, starting immediately and running through until July 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant with external audit experience gained in practice to take a lead role in reviewing year-end audits and financial statements for our group of 21 companies.
While our auditors will be preparing the financial statements, your primary responsibility will be to review these statements, ensuring compliance with FRS102 and overseeing the finalisation of the audits for all companies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the review of financial statements prepared by the audit team, ensuring full compliance with FRS102.
* Coordinate the collection and organisation of documentation necessary for audit deliverables.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all audit requirements are met on time.
* Prepare audit trackers and dashboards to monitor progress and provide clear updates to management.
* Ensure that audits are completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with all relevant standards.
A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week.

Experience and Skills Required
About You: To succeed in this role, you will need significant external audit experience gained specifically in practice. You will be a qualified ACCA/ACA accountant with a strong understanding of FRS102 and a proven ability to review financial statements in a complex, multi-company environment. We are looking for someone who can:
* Lead the review of financial statements under FRS102, with experience in accounting for business combinations.
* Have extensive audit experience from practice, ensuring all audits meet the required standards.
* Possess advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of financial systems.
* Communicate complex financial information in a simple and effective manner to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
