We are looking to appoint Exam Invigilators who are available at set times across the school year when examinations are taking place in school. Examinations are planned to run in December, January, March and May through to July.
Invigilators play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination process, ensuring all exams are conducted in accordance with the relevant regulations. You will need to be professional, calm, and organised, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Work is allocated in accordance with the set exam timetable, usually for a morning or afternoon exam session within school hours. We will need you to have some flexibility, and there are no minimum hours guaranteed, as this is a casual contract.
We will provide you with a range of bespoke opportunities to support your career and ongoing professional development. At Northampton School for Girls, we are committed to caring for and supporting the development and growth of all our school community, students and staff alike.
Northampton School for Girls (NSG) is a state-funded, comprehensive school on the outskirts of Northampton. Our school community is multi-faith and multi-cultural with students coming from rural and urban settings. We continue to be one of the best schools in Northamptonshire, and this is reflected in the high standards and expectations we set for both staff and students.
We seek high-quality applications from a wide spectrum of talented people, acknowledging that diversity in our staffing enriches our NSG community and the learning experience for our students. We are working to create an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and are empowered to do their best.
If you have any questions, please email us: people@nsg.northants.sch.uk .

Applications are accepted via the school application form (available on the vacancies page) or via TES Quick Apply. Please contact the school if you need to request the application form in an alternative format.
Closing date: 9.00am on Thursday 3rd April 2025.
We would encourage you to submit your application as soon as you are able as we reserve the right to act on received applications before the closing date has passed.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
The successful applicant will be expected to undertake a criminal records check via the Disclosure & Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by NSG. Details of our safer recruitment policy can be found in the school policies section of our website.
Shortlisted candidates who accept our invitation to interview may be subject to an online search conducted by the school, as recommended by KCSIE 2023. This will not affect the shortlisting process, and there will be the opportunity at interview to address any issues of concern that come up during the search.
